Lake Superior College’s Spirit Week proving to be a historic week for 91ɬÂþ Athletics

Lake Superior College is celebrating Spirit Week this week, and it’s proving to be a historic week for 91ɬÂþ IceHawks Athletics. Both the 91ɬÂþ men’s and women’s soccer teams are hosting playoff games today and tomorrow. The 91ɬÂþ co-ed clay target team has won the conference and division

championships. The 91ɬÂþ cycling team is heading to Missoula, Montana to compete in the Collegiate Mountain Biking National Championship on Friday and Saturday.  And, the inaugural season of 91ɬÂþ men’s and women’s basketball is officially underway with practices starting a couple weeks ago, teams now being named, and the first games only a few weeks away. It’s an exciting time in IceHawk Nation!

91ɬÂþ Soccer:  The 91ɬÂþ men’s soccer team will host the first round of the Region 13 Championships against Riverland today, Wednesday, 10/17, at 2:30 p.m. at the IceHawks’ home field, Egerdahl Field in Proctor.  

The 91ɬÂþ women’s soccer team will host Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) at Egerdahl Field tomorrow, 10/18, at 3:00 p.m.

91ɬÂþ Clay Target: The Lake Superior College Clay Target team has been named the 2018 Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Conference Champions and Eastern Division Champions. 91ɬÂþ student athlete Kallie Kimmes has been named the MCAC Individual Women’s Champion, with the highest female shooting score in the league.

91ɬÂþ Cycling: The 91ɬÂþ Cycling Team is heading to Missoula, Montana to compete in the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Biking National Championships October 19-21. 91ɬÂþ cyclist Moriah Johnson will race the cross country event on Friday and the short track race on Saturday.
