Too Young, Too Old, or Just Right?!

ADD TO CALENDAR

  • Wednesday, March 4
  • 12-1 p.m.
  • IceHawks Center for Equity and Inclusion

Spoiler alert: aging isn’t something that happens “later”—it’s happening now. And we’re in the midst of a longevity revolution; research shows that half of today’s 5-year-olds will live to be 100. Yet, our beliefs about aging, social institutions, economic policies, and social norms need to evolve to accommodate this new age of aging.

This lively session invites us to unpack the myths and messages we absorb about age every day. Ageism is the prejudice, discrimination, or stereotyping because of someone’s age. It affects all age groups but often targets older adults.

Event poster titled “Too Young, Too Old, or Just Right?” about aging, with illustrated people of all ages and March 4 event details.
