Winter Safety Fair

- WHEN: Tuesday, November 18, 10 a.m.-Noon
- WHERE: Main Concourse
This event will include members of local emergency response and preparedness teams such as the Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire Department, St. Louis County, State Patrol, Emergency Management, DTA, DOT, and DCAC.
It will revolve around winter preparedness, emergencies, and survival education. We will be handing out winter survival kits to 91ɬÂþ students at this event.

Graduating this fall?
If you are completing the requirements of your degree, diploma or certificate this fall, congratulations!
All fall graduates will be honored at the Fall Graduation Reception on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in Hawks Landing.
Graduates who attend will be given a FREE tassel which can be used at the annual Commencement celebration at the DECC on May 18, 2026.
Refreshments will be served.
Don’t forget to Apply to Graduate BEFORE December 1, 2025, to be included in the presentation on December 9, 2025.
ALL students must apply to graduate in order to have your award listed on your 91ɬÂþ transcript.

Staying Bright Through Winter: Tips to Beat Seasonal Depression
As daylight hours shorten, seasonal depression (SAD) can cause fatigue, low mood, and loss of motivation. Combat symptoms by maximizing sunlight, exercising regularly, eating well, staying connected, and planning enjoyable activities.
If self-care isn’t enough, light therapy, counseling, medication, and Vitamin D can help.

- Light therapy boxes are also available across campus in the Library, TRIO, TLC, CEI, Student Life, and Student Services.

Visitor Parking
Recently there has been an increase in usage of Visitor parking by employees and students.
Visitor parking is for use by guests of the college for short term parking.
Employees and students are not considered visitors and should not be using the Visitor spots.
If you have a short-term need for a closer spot, please contact Public Safety at 218-733-6911 to work on an individual solution for you.

Temporary Lot 3/T Building Lot and Entrance Closure
The T Building parking lot (Lot 3) , T building 1st floor entrance, and the staircase next to that entrance, will be closed Tuesday, December 16, 2025 through Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The elevator in the T building will remain open. Please plan to park in alternative lots. The 2nd floor entrance in the T building, next to the loading dock, will remain open during this time.
During this time. the installation of the artwork that is the required 1% of bonding funds received for the T building expansion will begin. Stay tuned to see the progress in spring semester!
