IT'S BACK!!! October's IceHawks Cafe Barista of the Month - Chaerin Lim
1. What’s your favorite item on the menu and why?
The matcha lavender latte. I like to make it with soy milk because it gives it a smooth, creamy taste on matcha.
2. How does your job enhance your college experience?
Working on campus helps me interact with other students and faculty. I enjoy talking with my classmates and they remind me to keep up with assignments. Through my job I’ve become more involved in campus life, learned about events, and improved my communication and social skills
3. What’s your go-to drink order when you’re off duty?
I love the seasonal drinks. They make me feel enjoyable to the season during a busy school schedule. Right now, my go-to is the Honey Apple Crisp Latte.
4. What do you enjoy most about working at IceHawks café?
I enjoy working with our crew - Cate, Emily, Aubrey, Shay, Kyla, Kendra, Teresa and Kathy. Everyone is amazing and always caring toward each other. I feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive and fun team.
5. What’s a fun fact or hidden talent most people don’t know about you?
I have a really cute dog at home.

Watch for Bears On Campus
Remember that our 97 acre main campus is prime habitat for black bears passing through or lingering for a while following a long winter's nap.
Walking the interpretive trails with more than one person, making noise when you walk, and staying on the trails during daytime hours, are all good tips to avoid encounters.
If you have questions, reach out to Public Safety Coordinator Justin Stangeland.
