Indigenous People’s Day Event
In honor of Indigenous People’s Day on Monday, October 13, stop by the Student Life Kiosk between Noon and 1 p.m. to hear some more history about Christopher Columbus that you may not know.
This is a day to honor the past, present and futures of Native peoples in the US and recognize the legacy and impact of colonialism on Native communities. More and more people are shifting away from recognizing Columbus Day and honoring Indigenous People's Day by celebrating the cultures, contributions, and resilience of contemporary Native peoples

October Is Mental Health Awareness Month
October is Mental Health Awareness Month and a great time to check in on our mental wellness practices and encourage others to do the same! Taking time for physical activities, getting good rest, being socially engaged and connected, mindfulness and relaxation practices, and creative endeavors are all wonderful ways to boost our mental wellbeing. Additionally, practicing gratitude and self-compassion and learning new coping strategies can enhance our resiliency. This is also a good time to consider and encourage reaching out to a mental health professional for screenings and support.
91ɬÂþ’s Mental Health Department is here to support students through in-person sessions or online services through our digital partner, Mantra Health. Please reach out to Amy ([email protected] or [email protected]) if you would like to schedule an appointment!

Student Success Day was a celebration of campus life, offering students the chance to connect with peers, explore new experiences, and learn more about the many active student clubs.
One highlight of the day was LeadMN, a student-led organization dedicated to scholarships, resources, leadership development, and advocacy. LeadMN hosted two engaging sessions during the event.
For those who couldn’t attend or would like to revisit the presentations, LeadMN has provided pre-recorded versions of both workshops. You can access them through the links below:
More recordings will be made available on lsc.edu/studentsuccessday under the "Session Recordings" in the coming week.
Thank you to all who participated or attended Student Success Day!
Save the date for next year's Student Success Day: September 30, 2026!
