Blood Drive - December 3
Did you know that giving blood takes less than an hour from start to finish—and while 62% of people are eligible to give, only 3% do?
Give blood and you could be helping a friend, family, or neighbor.

If you are completing the requirements of your degree, diploma or certificate this fall, congratulations!
All fall graduates will be honored at the Fall Graduation Reception on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. in Hawks Landing.

Graduates who attend will be given a FREE tassel which can be used at the annual Commencement celebration at the DECC on May 19, 2025.
Refreshments will be served.

"Celebration Kits" Available from the Social Committee
The 91ɬÂþ social committee launched a celebration initiative with special kits for students! Each kit includes cake essentials, balloons, and more to help our students celebrate milestones or achievements.
Celebration Kits are available in the CEI and in the 91ɬÂþ Food Shelf at no cost to students!

Expanded Mental Health Care Options for Students
In addition to on site, in-person therapy, 91ɬÂþ students can now opt for virtual services through Mantra Health thanks to a new partnership with MN State!
Mantra has a suite of services that includes up to 12 free sessions of telehealth/teletherapy sessions per academic year, self-guided wellness courses, peer support, emotional wellness coaching, and 24/7 crisis support.

Power in Diversity Leadership Conference
Lake Superior College is proud to send a group of students to St. Cloud State University Multicultural Student Services’ 16th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference!
This conference will be held from January 30 to February 1, 2025 at St. Cloud State University in partnership with the Minnesota State Office of Equity and Inclusion. The Power in Diversity Leadership Conference offers participants an engaging experience, with dynamic keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and activities designed to build leadership skills, enhance career development, and inspire personal growth.
Students will also have the chance to explore educational and professional opportunities during the Diversity Job and Internship Fair, where over 120 companies will be represented, as well as the Graduate School Fair, featuring a variety of programs from across the state of Minnesota.
Lake Superior College will be provided the selected students with transportation, hotel accommodations in a double-occupancy room, food and the entrance ticket to the conference. Interested? ! The application window is open now through November 25th at 11:59 pm. Selected students will be notified via email by December 2nd.
